The NGOs carry out their work in Spain
The CIMD Group Board in its meeting held on the 24th January 2006, has decided the distribution of the 120,000 euros raised on the SOLIDARITY DAY.
Under the title: "Imagine that for a day your work and ours are destined for a humanitarian project" on the 5th December the CIMD Group, a financial services group, carried out a novel initiative in the Financial Markets.
The act of solidarity involved the donation of ALL the commissions generated that day in CIMD Agencia de Valores and InterMoney Valores, S.V. to a group of NGOs.
The NGOs, and the specific projects, that will receive the donation in the next few days are the following:
- ASION, The Madrid Community Child Oncology Association, financial support to families with a child who has cancer: 60,000 euros.
- THEODORA Foundation, Clowns for our hospitalised children, full cost of a “Doctor Smile” for a year in the Hospital del Niño Jesús: 15.000 euros.
- International Cooperation, for young people with solidarity. The “study and play” Project, support in studies and free time for children with integration problems: 15.000 euros.
- PAIDEIA, Association for Child integration, adaptation and equipping of special housing for children: 15.000 euros.
- BALIA Foundation, socio-educational spaces for children, sponsorship of the Tetuan centre for 6, 7 and 8-year-old children for 2006: 15.000 euros.
